The 2027 Ram 1500 adds two notable performance models to the half-ton lineup. The 777-horsepower TRX returns as the TRX SRT, and an all-new performance family called Rumble Bee joins the lineup. Ram also made its 360° Surround View Camera standard on more trims.
The core truck carries over its proven engines, trims and technology. This guide covers what changed for 2027, what stayed the same and what Ram has not announced yet.
2027 Ram 1500 Changes at a Glance
The TRX returns as the TRX SRT, with a 777-hp supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8
New Rumble Bee performance trucks, built on an exclusive Quad Cab short-bed layout
360° Surround View Camera now standard on Limited and Limited Longhorn
The 5.7L HEMI V8 remains available alongside the Pentastar V6 and both Hurricane inline-six engines
The TRX Returns as the TRX SRT
The headline change for 2027 is the return of the TRX, now called the Ram 1500 TRX SRT. It uses a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 that makes 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive is standard.
Ram rates the TRX SRT at 3.5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. It can also tow up to 8,100 lbs. Pricing starts at $99,995 MSRP, which places it at the top of the Ram 1500 family.
The TRX SRT is marketed separately from the regular trim lineup. Along with the new Rumble Bee SRT, it is the most powerful Ram 1500 available for 2027.

Meet the New Ram 1500 Rumble Bee
The Rumble Bee is a new performance-focused Ram 1500 aimed at the street and the track rather than the trail. Every version uses an exclusive Quad Cab short-bed configuration. Ram removed 13 inches from the frame compared with a standard Ram 1500, widened the front track by 6.8 inches and widened the rear axle by 7 inches.

All Rumble Bee models use HEMI V8 power, a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic and full-time active four-wheel drive with a button-operated rear-wheel-drive mode. Ram has announced four versions:
The base Rumble Bee runs from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, and the Rumble Bee 392 does it in 5.2 seconds. The Rumble Bee SRT is the quickest at 3.4 seconds, with an 11.6-second quarter mile at 116 mph and a targeted top speed of 170 mph.
The Track Pack adds four-corner air suspension, Bilstein Damptronic semi-active shocks, Launch Control, an electronic spool differential and Brembo six-piston front brakes. The Rumble Bee SRT shares much of that hardware and adds a functional induction hood and a Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio system.
Rumble Bee models can tow up to 8,890 lbs. and carry up to 1,160 lbs. of payload. Ram projects the 5.7L Rumble Bee to arrive starting in late 2026, with the Rumble Bee 392 and Rumble Bee SRT following in the first half of 2027. Pricing has not been announced.
360° Surround View Camera Now Standard on More Trims
For 2027, the 360° Surround View Camera is standard on the Limited and Limited Longhorn. The Tungsten includes it as well. The system gives you a top-down view around the truck, which helps in tight parking lots, narrow driveways and when maneuvering near a trailer.
On other models, the camera remains available depending on trim and configuration.
2027 Ram 1500 Engine Lineup
The regular Ram 1500 lineup keeps four gas engines for 2027. Each one is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Towing and payload figures depend on configuration. The standard Hurricane carries the highest towing rating in the lineup, while the Pentastar V6 leads in payload. The High-Output Hurricane is the most powerful of the four and is used on the RHO and other upper-level models.
2027 Ram 1500 Trim Lineup

At the top, the Tungsten offers 24-way power front seats with massage, a 10.25-inch Front Passenger Interactive Display and a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system.
Technology and Safety Highlights
The Ram 1500 carries over a strong list of technology for 2027. Available features include a 14.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a head-up display, dual wireless charging pads and Ram Digital Key, which lets a compatible phone unlock and start the truck.
