Dodge Charger electric vehicle.

The all-new 2024 Dodge Charger is here, and this muscle car has some changes you should know about. In what Dodge is proclaiming as the first-ever all-electric muscle car, the Dodge Daytona certainly looks ready for the streets of Kansas City. At Cable Dahmer CDJR, we are excited to share what we know about this EV.

Is the Dodge Charger Electric?

For the 2024 model year, Dodge is releasing an electric charger. And that means, rather than a beefy V8 under the hood, this vehicle will be powered by batteries. The revealed model looks highly similar to the concept, and there are really no complaints there. From a long nose to a liftback, the new Daytona harkens back to the golden age of American muscle cars.

Both a four-door and a two-door model will be available, along with a variety of performance upgrades. And although the 2024 Dodge Daytona is an EV, there will still be a gas-powered Charger later down the line.

What is the 2024 Dodge Daytona?

The new Dodge Daytona is an electric muscle car. It comes standard with 335 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, but of course, more power is available. The Daytona R/T will come with 456 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. For even more performance, the Scat Pack will make 590 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque.

For the first year of production, something called Direct Connection Stage Kits will be available. These upgrades increase power up to 670 horsepower. And that should make for a thrilling drive, whether you are at the track or at the drag strip.

One thing our team at Cable Dahmer CDJR is most excited about is that this EV is available as a coupe or a sedan. That means whether you need the practicality of four doors or you prefer something more sporty, you can get it.

How Fast Can the Dodge Daytona Charge?

In terms of charging, Dodge has stated that about an 80% charge can be added in 30 minutes when using a 350-kW-capable DC fast charger. With AC charging, you will get a peak of 11 kW. For a Level 2 AC charger, expect it to take around six hours to charge to 80%.
